What are Math and Science?
Mathematics refers to the study of numbers and their operations, as well as of abstractions and space. Earth science is a broad term referring to the sciences involved in the study of the Earth, and physical science refers to the sciences that study the nature of energy and matter.
Engineering as a Field
Consider all of the things that have been constructed in our world: houses, cars and reclining chairs; playground equipment, technical camping tents and tennis shoes; chemical compounds, electronic devices and farm equipment. The construction of each of these things and a plethora of others has, at some point, required the wisdom, knowledge, and guidance of an engineer. The field of engineering then is as broad as the sky is vast.
Engineers specialize in particular types of design—structural, mechanical and electronic, to name a few—and they work in a variety of capacities. Environmental engineers, for example, work to find solutions to pressing environmental problems. Civil engineers, for example, plan and design the development of infrastructure projects. Biomedical, marine, and materials engineers, for example, analyze and design medicine, build and maintain sea vessels, and design, develop, and test a range of products. Any product you can think of required or requires the brilliance, ingenuity, and skilled input of an engineer. If you are someone who has always been curious about how things are built or has always wanted to invent and design new products, the field of engineering might be a perfect field for you.

Organic and molecular electronics are an innovative class of electronics with huge market potential in four key application areas: displays; photovoltaics; lighting; and integrated smart systems.
The course aims to develop a competent analytical practitioner for the modern private and public sectors.
The graduate program in chemistry is a thesis-based study leading to the degree of Master of Science.
The conventional Master's Degree Program in Chemistryis designed to prepare students for further advanced study in Chemistry, to expand thechemical knowledge and skills of secondary school and junior
Since our graduate program is not large, students are usually in small classes. In fact, the student-faculty ratio is about one graduate faculty member for every six students.
Emphasis within the program is on developing skills for chemical research, rather than on passing a specified number of examinations.
MS in Chemistry: We have been granting the MS degree since the mid 1960s. Our program provides a strong educational foundation that will be of great benefit if you plan to enter a PhD or MD program.
Wollongong is a fast-growing, progressive university with an excellent international reputation for pure and applied research.
Entering graduate students take coursework from a Program of Study designed to give a broad background of knowledge, while allowing specialization in one area.
The M.S. degree in chemistry has been designed to meet the needs of students who seek an environment featuring a close interaction with faculty.
Studies emphasize the experimental and theoretical aspects of above fields, including their biological applications.
Within the Department of Chemistry, research programs flourish across a spectrum of chemical fields.
Chemical engineers apply principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, nanotechnology and equipment engineering.
The graduate school comprises 33 members of academic staff, 35 technical staff and experimental officers, approximately 100 graduate students, and 90 research fellows.
The Chemistry has a strong research emphasis as well as a dedication to teaching, but is of medium size allowing substantial interaction between faculty and students.
The science of chemistry is concerned with the composition, properties, structure, and reactivity of matter and with the ways in which substances can change from one form to another.
