What are Math and Science?
Mathematics refers to the study of numbers and their operations, as well as of abstractions and space. Earth science is a broad term referring to the sciences involved in the study of the Earth, and physical science refers to the sciences that study the nature of energy and matter.
Engineering as a Field
Consider all of the things that have been constructed in our world: houses, cars and reclining chairs; playground equipment, technical camping tents and tennis shoes; chemical compounds, electronic devices and farm equipment. The construction of each of these things and a plethora of others has, at some point, required the wisdom, knowledge, and guidance of an engineer. The field of engineering then is as broad as the sky is vast.
Engineers specialize in particular types of design—structural, mechanical and electronic, to name a few—and they work in a variety of capacities. Environmental engineers, for example, work to find solutions to pressing environmental problems. Civil engineers, for example, plan and design the development of infrastructure projects. Biomedical, marine, and materials engineers, for example, analyze and design medicine, build and maintain sea vessels, and design, develop, and test a range of products. Any product you can think of required or requires the brilliance, ingenuity, and skilled input of an engineer. If you are someone who has always been curious about how things are built or has always wanted to invent and design new products, the field of engineering might be a perfect field for you.

Liverpool John Moores University, (or JMU as we are known by ourfriends) is one of the largest universities in the United Kingdom. We have more than 20,000 students studying with us.
The program is designed for students with various academic backgrounds who are interested in a career which spans the human and natural environments – the social and physical sciences – and who desire
Doctoral Programs with concentrations in Astrophysics, Biophysics and Chemical Physics.
These programmes aim to provide training in the theory and practice of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and allied remote sensing techniques within the field of applications in geography, geolog
The University of Haifa is home to the foremost, and only sea-going marine research department in Israel. Established in 2007 as part of the multidisciplinary Leon H.
The College of Optics and Photonics offers interdisciplinary graduate programs in optical science and engineering leading to a master’s (M.S.) or doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in optics.
Both the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees require a thesis embodying original research.
The PSM initiative began in 1997 when a select number of research universities, with the support of the Alfred P.
The materials science program offers a master of science in materials science and a materials science option for the Ph.D. in engineering.
The course requirement for the M.S. Chemistry program is divided into required and elective courses. The required courses cover Inorganic, Analytical and Physical Chemistry as well as Biochemistry.
The space sciences graduate program stresses many subfields of space studies, such as stellar and extragalactic astrophysics, solar-terrestrial interrelation (space weather, solar energetic particles)
Studies emphasize the experimental and theoretical aspects of above fields, including their biological applications.
